Ayumi Sakamichi

A little noisy, a little reckless, but when it comes to her friends, she gets more fired up than anyone — that's Ayumi-chan Sakamichi, the leader who keeps the troublemaker gang together. A trouble magnet who is always stirring up commotion at full energy, her big ears and ribbon bouncing as she goes. But she isn't just a troublemaker. If a friend is in trouble, she's the first to rush over, and if a friend gets hurt, she gets truly angry — she cares deeply about her friends. She especially treasures Santalia and her friends, and has welcomed them as her own precious companions. Because she has been discriminated against herself, there's nothing she hates more than judging others by their looks or status alone. That's exactly why she pushes back hard against humans who discriminate against her, and against those who, like angels, call themselves “righteous beings” while looking down on others. Usually she gets carried away, does things she shouldn't, and drags everyone around her into a big uproar, so even her friends sometimes sigh, “Ayumi-chan's up to something again.” But when it really counts, she's more dependable than anyone. Even when she's scared she doesn't run, and for her friends' sake she doesn't even mind becoming the bad guy. That's a side of her truly worthy of the title “leader of the troublemaker gang.” To Santalia, Ayumi-chan is a friend she can goof around with without a worry, and a precious companion who's on her side no matter what. Her cheerfulness and wild streak bring laughter and momentum to the Princesses of Hope's journey, while she also has the strength to face the problems of discrimination and prejudice head-on. She's noisy, she messes up a lot, and sometimes she even causes outrageous incidents. Even so, in the end she always comes back to her friends. That “leader who's loved precisely because she's a troublemaker” is Ayumi-chan Sakamichi.
