The Seimei Monogatari Circle Has Applied for Comic Market 109: A Full-Length Visual Novel Planned

Summary

The Seimei Monogatari Circle has applied to take part in Comic Market 109 (C109), scheduled to be held from Tuesday, December 29 to Thursday, December 31, 2026. At this time, the application has been submitted, but a place has not yet been granted. At Comic Market, a lottery is held after applications close, and circles that are selected are assigned a space. We are currently awaiting the results, with the aim of taking part in C109.

Background

For the Seimei Monogatari Circle, Comic Market is a place we have long held as a goal. For more than six years since we began our creative activities, we have gradually given shape to worlds of manga, illustration, music and story. We have now continued our activities to the point of actually being able to experience taking part in Comic Market, which we have long aimed for. We intend not to end with a single participation, but to continue creating works and to develop them into a larger world.

The Seimei Monogatari Circle carries out a range of creative activities centered on the original work “Hope Princess.” Drawing on themes such as ancient mythology, life, hope, light and eternity, the stories of its characters are told through multiple forms of expression, including manga, illustration and music. Building on the world, characters and music created so far, we also aim to develop the work into a game in the future. By combining the forms of expression that each medium makes possible, we will gradually expand the world of “Hope Princess.”

Additional notes

If selected, we hope to bring the works we have created to the venue and offer visitors the chance to hold them in their hands. In addition to manga, we plan to create works that lead to future developments, such as music, digital content and works relating to the characters. We also plan to announce a full-length visual novel. Once the lottery results are announced and our participation is formally confirmed, we will share our space information and the works to be offered.

In our creative work, we place importance on not depending on generative AI, and on drawing by hand, thinking, building stories and completing works ourselves as far as possible. Through manga, illustration, music and the games we will now take up, we aim to develop the worlds of “Hope Princess” and “XmasFantasy” into creative works that will endure. While hoping to be selected and awaiting the results, we will continue our creative work. We would be grateful for your attention to the future activities of the Seimei Monogatari Circle.

Participation in this event was at the time a personal undertaking, and the works were not yet owned by IHS Bethlehem Church. There were no sales of the items offered that day.
